Hermes MCP End-User License and Terms

Effective October 28, 2026

These terms govern use of hermesmcp (Hermes MCP), operated by Clearworks for its internal QuickBooks Online accounting workflows. By using the integration, an authorized operator agrees to these terms.

Limited internal license

Clearworks permits authorized personnel to use the integration solely for Clearworks’s own business. This permission is limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and revocable. It does not authorize connecting client or customer companies, public distribution, resale, or access by unauthorized people. Third-party and open-source components retain their own licenses.

Authorization and responsibility

Only an authorized QuickBooks company administrator may connect the company through Intuit OAuth 2.0. Operators must act within their assigned authority, protect credentials, and comply with applicable laws and Intuit’s terms. Do not attempt to bypass controls, expose credentials, access another company’s data, or use the service for unlawful purposes.

Accounting changes and AI outputs

The integration can read, create, update, and delete supported accounting records when requested and authorized. Operators are responsible for reviewing requests and verifying resulting records in QuickBooks. AI-generated interpretations and summaries may contain errors and are not professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. Obtain qualified review where appropriate.

Privacy and third parties

Information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. QuickBooks, Intuit services, AI services, and other third-party components are governed by their respective terms. Hermes MCP is operated by Clearworks and is not an Intuit product or a claim of Intuit endorsement.

Availability and limitations

The integration is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, or suitability for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law. API limits, outages, permission changes, and software errors may affect operation. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Ending access

Clearworks may suspend or end access when authorization ends or security requires it. Administrators may revoke the connection in QuickBooks Online’s connected-app settings. Previously saved accounting records remain in QuickBooks; retained integration copies are addressed in the Privacy Policy.
